In this blog post, we’ll share the details of our first digital microbe – Ruegeria pomeroyi, one of C-CoMP’s model organisms – and demonstrate how easy it is to work with data in these self-contained, self-describing, programmatically-queryable SQLite databases made using anvi’o (an open-source software platform). This strategy offers several benefits, such as the ability to share multiple datasets by providing a single link, and the ability to easily analyze and interactively visualize these data.
